ROYAL CANIN® Urinary S/O is formulated for the nutritional management of adult dogs with urinary stones (struvites) and to help prevent their recurrence. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavourable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. It increases the amount of urine your dog produces to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. And this specialised nutrition, contains low levels of magnesium, one of the main building blocks of struvite stones.
RECOMMENDATIONS: It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use. Feed Urinary S/O for 5 to 12 weeks for the dissolution of struvite stones and up to 6 months for the reduction of struvite stone recurrence. The dog should be regularly re-evaluated by the veterinarian to assess the relevance of lifelong recommendation.
NOTE: In older dogs, renal function should be checked before recommendation. Water should be available at all times.
